This 10.2 mp camera is packed with a wide range of useful features
which will help you to realise your creative potential. The Sony Alpha DSLR-A230 has the smallest and lightest body among the Sony alpha series of
cameras, which makes it eminently portable.
The Sony Alpha DSLR-A230 also integrates sensor-shift
image stabilisation, which counteracts the effects of camera-shake
regardless of the fitted lens. This has an obvious advantage over other
systems, where image stabilisation is dependent on the lens used. The
sensor shake mechanism in combination with an anti-static coating also
helps to combat the adverse effects of dust!
Other features of the Sony Alpha DSLR-A230 Digital SLR include a 9-point AF system with EyeStart activation, full-resolution
2.5 fps continuous shooting, and the D-Range Optimizer with Advanced
mode - which delivers beautifully even exposures with good shadow
detail.
The lens on offer here is the Sony DT 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Standard Zoom Lens. The focal length equates to a 27-82.5mm lens in
35mm terms, which will enable you to photograph anything from
landscapes to portraits with ease. The lens features a built-in Smooth
Autofocus Motor (SAM) for whisper-quiet AF operation, and is designed
specifically for the APS-C sensor, which facilitates a compact and
lightweight design.
