Dual intelligent processors
The M5A99X EVO is compatible with
AM3+ sockets, and it's also backwards compatible with AM3 sockets. There are
two onboard chips; the TPU and EPU. The TPU (Turbo Processing Unit) helps with
overclocking and provides a performance boost, whilst the Energy Processing
Unit (EPU) allows for system energy saving and power management.
It's easy to supervise overclocking, voltage and sensor readings and energy
management thanks to Asus' AI Suite II, helping you efficiently manage your PC!

There's also improved overclocking capabilities thanks to the VRM Power
Delivery that allows users to precisely adjust and control the BIOS settings
whilst the UEFI BIOS provides a user-friendly interface, so you have lots of
control! EZ Mode includes a drag-and-drop feature that allows easy management,
but there's also an advanced mode for more experienced users.
The result of the DIGI+ VRM design is reduced lag and
greater control of power.
