Perfect photography

Boasting a compact and lightweight body, the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II Mirrorless Camera still manages to pack in plenty of power and features that will help you to develop your imaging skills and creativity.

The large 16.1 megapixel and highly sensitive Live MOS sensor delivers incredible image quality that will inspire a portfolio of perfect photography.

The TruePic VII image processor utilises the sensor for low-noise, vibrant and detailed pictures with stunning colour reproduction. A built-in 5-axis image stabilisation system effectively captures stills in sharp, blur-free quality.

Improved ergonomics

Sitting comfortably in the hand, the EM5 Mark II has been carefully designed to make using it as intuitive as possible, with easily accessed controls and a straight forward interface.

The 3” vari-angle touchscreen gives you immediate control over almost all of the camera settings letting you pinch, swipe and tap your way to taking beautiful images and recording HD video clips.

Shoot from different angles with a vari-angle screen that helps you keep everything framed where you want it. Being able to adjust the monitor helps you to shoot at arm's length while still keeping your eye on the subject for more interesting and creative angles that will add new dimensions to your images.

Camera creativity

The EM-5 Mark II has an ultra-fast autofocus system that allows you to snap fast-moving subjects in sharp focus. 3D tracking keeps moving objects accurately in focus so you're always ready for a shot.

With a clear electronic viewfinder system you can frame and creatively control your moments. Frame your subject and alter the shadows, highlights, white balance and magnification before even capturing the photograph.

High resolution video

However you want to document your world, the EM5 Mark II is the ideal tool; letting you record clips in Full HD 1080p at up to 60 frames per second.

Replay every moment on the big screen, complete with beautiful smooth slow motion thanks to the high frame rates that let you create stunning high definition movies as well as still images.

Easy sharing

No matter where you are in the world, you can share your shots and clips with friends and family thanks to the integrated WiFi technology of the EM5 Mark II. Connect to a network and share images in seconds without the need to sync with a computer – it's a far more reactive and responsive way to log images.

You can even download Olympus' Image Share app for Android and iOS devices to use your phone or tablet as a remote shutter - use your camera for light painting with Olympus' Live Bulb setting.
Don't limit where you can shoot with the EM5 Mark II which features a rugged magnesium body and is dust, freeze and splashproof to open up greater shooting possibilities.

Supplied with a handy 12-50 mm zoom lens, the 35 mm equivalent of a 24 -100 mm zoom, you can get even closer to the action without worrying about dust or low temperatures affecting camera performance.

SD memory cards

It is important to have the right memory card for your camera. The memory card will determine how fast an image is saved and how fast an image is uploaded.

If you're shooting high definition videos along with high resolution images then it's best to invest in a high performance memory card. A high performance memory card will get the best out of your photography, ensuring the best continuous shooting speed and high quality data capture.

Winchester GB Keen amateur
This is a well-designed and fantastically solidly-built camera, reminiscent of old Olympus film cameras. It feels good in the hand, and the controls are well-designed so that most adjustments are easy to make without delving into the menus. Image quality is great, with excellent image stabilization giving good low-light performance.
Quite a big price jump between this and the lower model in the range, but this one feels much more solid.

Compact size, features, build quality, images, range of accessories and lenses available, comes complete with external flash unit
The menu system is very complex, I had to buy an additional (>500 page!) book to help me make the most out of it.
