It features Nikon's typically superb optical quality, with minimum chromatic aberration, geometric distortion, flare and ghosting. Performance is already excellent at the full aperture of f/2.8. The lens can be stopped down to f/22 for extreme depth of field, which is useful for certain landscape photographs.

Compact and lightweight, the Nikon NIKKOR 28 mm f/2.8D Wide-Angle Lens offers a 74-degree angle of view for great flexibility, and focuses down to 0.25cm.
