Despite its affordable price, this 10.1 mp camera benefits from a range
of advanced features inherited from Canon's professional digital camera
models. Canon's CMOS sensor in combination with DIGIC III image
processing ensures crisp, sharp photos with accurate colour
reproduction and low noise levels, while Live View makes composing
photos at awkward angles fun and easy! You'll be able to produce high
quality A4 prints straight from the camera, with larger sizes easily
achievable with upsizing.
The package includes a compact and lightweight Canon 18-55 mm EF-S Zoom Lens,
equivalent to a 29-88mm lens in 35mm film format. This lens offers
excellent versatility, thanks to its 0.28m minimum focusing distance.
Constructed with 11 elements including a high-precision aspherical lens
element and optimised lens coatings to minimise ghosting and flare the
Canon 18-55 mm EF-S Zoom Lens delivers high resolution images at all focal lengths, and its circular aperture makes for gentler background blur.
You can take control over the look and feel of your pictures by making use of the Canon EOS 1000D's
Picture Style presets. This intelligent in-camera processing is a very
effective tool which is particularly useful for JPEG shooting,
additionally, RAW shooting enables excellent post-processing control
over images. The Canon EOS 1000-D also comes with a
comprehensive software suite enabling you to enhance images with
customisable contrast, saturation and sharpness.
