Indesit and Hotpoint Tumble Dryer Safety Issue

Whirlpool, who now own the brands Indesit, Hotpoint and Creda, announced on the 23rdNovember 2015 an ongoing corrective campaign to remedy a possible safety and quality issue with certain models of their Tumble Dryers sold under the Hotpoint, Indesit and Creda brands between April 2004 and October 2015.

Whirlpool are now asking owners of Indesit, Hotpoint and Creda branded machines, who have not had their appliances already repaired, to contact them, so they can arrange a service visit and modify the dryer in your home at no charge.

What You Need To Do
If you have purchased an Indesit, Hotpoint or Creda branded dryer purchased between April 2004 and October 2015 please visit the dedicated Indesit support website with the model number of your product or or contact Indesit at 0800 151 0905 to check if your machine is affected.

Whirlpool have advised that customers may continue to use the affected dryers until they are modified provided they are not left unattended during operation. If left unmodified, in some rare cases, excess fluff can come into contact with the heating element and present a risk of fire. The website also provides information about how you can remove excess fluff from the fluff filter in your machine.

Tracking your order

You can track your order online at our Knowhow Track it page, or via the courier specified in your confirmation email. All you need is your reference number (found on your order confirmation email), your postcode and telephone number.

If you have chosen standard free delivery for a large product, you can find out the expected time of your delivery after 9pm the night before your confirmed delivery date. Simply go to Knowhow Track it and enter your details to view the delivery schedule. Please note: In some instances, the information for your delivery may not become available until after 10pm.
