The new Dyson Hot + Cool™ fan heater has dual functionality – it provides fast, even room heating as well as powerful cooling.

Many conventional fan heaters distribute air using spinning blades powered by inefficient motors, so they can’t heat a room quickly. Using Air Multiplier™ technology for long-range heat projection, AM05 is fast to heat the room evenly.

AM05 also uses Air Multiplier™ technology to provide powerful cooling. It has been re-engineered so that it draws in 25% more air than its predecessor – up to 28 litres per second. This generates high airflow and air velocity, cooling you effectively.

Instead of using blades to propel the air like conventional fan heaters, AM05 uses Air Multiplier™ technology. Air is drawn in at the base of the machine, then accelerated through a 2.5mm aperture. This creates an annular jet of air that passes over an airfoil-shaped ramp, channelling its direction. Surrounding air is drawn into the airflow, amplifying it. And because there are no blades, there’s no buffeting – just an uninterrupted stream of smooth air.

AM05 lets you set your target temperature to the degree. And once that temperature is reached, the machine’s intelligent thermostat maintains it – switching the machine on and off automatically, ensuring it’s only working when heating is necessary. This prevents overheating and also saves energy.

The machine cuts out automatically if it’s tipped over, and there are no visible heating elements or blades. And because the heating elements never exceed 200°C, they don’t burn dust, so there’s no worrying burning smell. AM05 is energy-efficient – it uses less energy to heat the whole room than other fan heaters.

The Dyson AM03 fan has a constant force tensator spring for easy height adjustment, so you simply have to press down or push up lightly to achieve the desired height. You can set the direction of the airflow, by tilting the fan loop with a light touch.

A remote control is included with the Dyson AM03, enabling you to easily adjust the airflow power and oscillation. The remote is magnetised to slot neatly on top of the fan loop for safe keeping.
