Removed & Recycled for Free
When we deliver your new appliance, we’ll recycle your old one to save you the trouble. Unlike many other retailers it’s completely free and we’ll take away all the packaging too.
Please note that you will need to disconnect your old product before we arrive unless you have purchased installation.

Freestanding Electric Cooker Installation

When you have your new electric cooker delivered, why not have it installed at the same time? Our installation services are available to purchase from your basket confirmation page.

What you'll get as part of the installation:
• Deliver your new cooker and unpack it for you
• Disconnect your old cooker and check that the connections are safe to use
• Unbox and check the new product
• Carry out a health and safety check to make sure that required clearance space between your cooker and cabinets are met
• Safely install your new electric cooker
• Securely wire the cooker to an existing spur point or control panel and fit protective trunking if hardwiring is required i.e. we’ll always make sure it is wired safely!
• Carefully fit your electric cooker into an existing space
• The installation team are fully qualified installers of electrical goods. They are accredited by UKAS (UK Accreditation Service), and continually trained and evaluated.
• Need access to your fuse box to complete an electrical safety test and provide you with an Electrical Appliance Installation Certificate
• Give you a demonstration of your new cooker and its settings
• Take your old cooker and packaging away to be recycled if you’d like us to

Before we arrive can you please make sure:
• You are at home at the time we’ve arranged to visit
• Make sure we have clear access to the area you want your new cooker installed, and that it will fit into that area
• Make sure you have an electrical connection within 1.5 meters of the installation area

Range Style Cookers
Please check the access for these appliances as they are particularly large and difficult to manoeuvre; they are more than twice the size and weight of a conventional cooker!

Installation Health and Safety Guidelines
Unfortunately we will not be able to install your cooker in any of the following situations:
• If we are installing an electric cooker and you want us to remove an existing gas cooker, your installation will require a gas safe registered engineer. Please let us know if this is the case by calling our customer contact centre on 0844 561 1234 after completing your purchase online
• If the installation is considered to put you or our installers at risk
• If the installation doesn’t pass health and safety guidelines. These guidelines would prevent installations in instances where you have combustible materials near your cooker. An electric switch, plug socket above the cooker would usually be reasons for a refused installation. Please ensure any of these potential issues are resolved prior to the engineer’s arrival
• If there is no suitable 30amp Electric Cooker Control panel (large red switch) within 2 metres of the location of installation for double ovens and some of signal ovens
