American Style Fridge Freezer Installation

We can get your new American-style fridge-freezer up and running the same day we deliver.

Our expert installers will evaluate the plumbing connections for water and ice models and will take away your old appliance and recycle it for free if you'd like them to.

Freestanding Fridge Freezer Door Reversal Service

Some fridge freezers can have their door hinges on either side – we can reverse the direction the door opens to your preference and put it into place when your new fridge freezer is delivered.

Your fridge freezer doors must be reversible to be eligible for our Door Swap service. Please check the specifications table on the product page before you buy. American style fridge freezers and products installed by the manufacturer are ineligible for this service.

Freestanding Refrigeration Installation by Manufacturer (Hotpoint and Indesit)

This installation service is offered by the manufacturer for products deliver directly from them. The installer will connect and level the refrigeration, plus run a quick test to make sure it works.

Delivery and service

Home Delivery

The Knowhow service team are here to deliver your product at a time that fits around your schedule. Not only will we deliver it for you but we can install it up for you then take your old product away for free recycling.
If you order before 10pm, we can deliver the very next day to you in most areas.
Delivery can be arranged 7 days a week and our standard delivery is offered between 7am and 7pm. Alternatively you can select from a range of 4 hour delivery slots that best suit your schedule.

Removed & Recycled for Free
When we deliver your new appliance, we’ll recycle your old one to save you the trouble. Unlike many other retailers it’s completely free and we’ll take away all the packaging too.
Please note that you will need to disconnect your old product before we arrive unless you have purchased installation.

American Style Fridge Freezer Installation

When you have your new American Style fridge freezer delivered, why not have it installed at the same time? Our installation services are available to purchase from the ‘Confirm basket' page.

What you’ll get as part of the installation:
• A two man team will deliver your American style Fridge freezer and carefully unpack and check it for you
• We’ll evaluate the plumbing connections for water and ice models
• Disconnect your old product and install your new one
• Make sure that it is level and neatly installed
• Fully test the appliance to ensure there are no leaks or faults and give you a demonstration of its basic functions
• Take your old appliance and packaging away to be recycled for free if you want us to

Before we arrive please make sure:
• You are at home at the time we’ve agreed to visit
• Make sure we have clear access to the area you want your new product installed, and that it will fit
• Make sure you have all the necessary bits and pieces; e.g. connection hoses
• Check that you have the necessary electrical and plumbing connections within 1.5 meters of the installation area with a plug socket available

We want to make sure you know what isn’t covered by our American style fridge freezer Installation services so there are no surprises when we visit you at home:
• We cannot connect your refrigerator to your water supply if there are no water connections within 1.5 meters
• We cannot connect your refrigerator if there is no plug socket within 1.5 meters
• Change door positions or other alterations to your property
• Make alterations to existing connections (electric or plumbing)
• Installation in garages or sheds as refrigeration appliances do not function properly in outdoor environments
• We will not attempt to connect your appliance if the space is unsuitable
