Check list before we arrive
Before we arrive, please ensure the following:
STEP 1: CHECK YOUR CONNECTION
You have the correct supply outlet for the electrical cooker you choose:
32 amp outlets - freestanding electric cookers that consume greater than 3KW.
13 amp outlets - single electric cookers / gas ignition supply using less than 2.99KW
That there is a suitable electrical connection within 1.5 metres of the required location.
If it is a dual fuel cooker, that you also look through the check list for gas cooker installation Gas cooker installation
If we are installing an electric cooker and you want us to remove an existing gas cooker, then please let us know by calling our customer contact centre on 0344 561 1234 after booking your installation online, as this requires a Gas Safe registered engineer.
STEP 2: CHECK THE SPACE
That we have clear access to the area you want your new appliance installed. If stairs are involved, that there is room to manoeuvre.
The appliance will fit into the space with enough space at the back and either side of the cooker to allow for ventilation. Check the product specification for the cooker you want to buy.
STEP 3: CHECK THE ENVIRONMENT
That there is no combustible material behind the cooker location. For example, for dual fuel cookers, the area directly above a gas hob must not have any power points, switches, boilers or alarm sensors. Additionally, there must not be any flammable material such as wallpaper, wood, fabric wall coverings, curtains or shelving.
You check knowhow.com to track your delivery and that someone responsible is at home to sign for the installation.
If you are unsure your electric cooker installation can meet the requirements listed above, please call to discuss on 0344 561 1234.
