AUDIO TECHNICA Noise cancelling headphones
Audio Technica was founded in 1962 by Hideo Matsushita in Tokyo, where they were one of the first Japanese manufacturers of high fidelity phonograph cartridges. They moved into portable audio at the dawn of the technology in 1969 with a line of microcassette recorders. They established an American subsidiary in the early 1970s and have been supplying Western manufacturers with high-end audio components including headphones ever since.
They began manufacturing stereo headphones under their own name in 1974 with the AT-700 series, and have spent the last 42 years improving that award-winning design and cementing their reputation for quality and durability at an affordable price point. The result is what you see here: some of the finest Audio Technica headphones ever produced.
Today’s Audio Technica headphones come in a wide variety of models, from the audiophile friendly ATH-DSR9BT or ATH-MSR7 models, commuter oriented noise-cancelling models like their QuietPoint® line, and their SonicSport® line of in-ear headphones (see our full line of Audio Technica earphones.
