Bought as an upgrade for a pair of Canon 10x30 IS binocs which I have had for about 10 years.
Clear improvements in the magnification, optical clarity, image stabilisation and brightness and amazingly are the same weight as my old binos. Very happy
you need to accept that the minimum focus distance is @ 20 feet, so if you are using for very close work on a regular basis they may not be the ones for you

14.5mm eye relief fine for spectacle wearers.

Field of View (87.5m at 1000m) good for my birdwatching needs.

Weight (660 grams) and Battery life (9 hours) great for use in the field - not too heavy and not in need of constant new batts!

View fine in normal mode and excellent when stabilisation button pressed.

I like having to hold the stabilisation button down to keep feature on - no problems with reaching button and obviously no use of battery when take finger off. The 10x42 model (+ others) has a locked on stabilised button which results in wasting battery life until it auto switches off or you turn it off.

Overall, an excellent pair of birdwatching binos. I have the Canon 10x30 stabilised ones but wanted the extra magnification to identify distant birds even better - now happy to use them instead of the 10x30s + has also meant I've not been taking a scope out with me in addition to the binos.

I tested the 10x42 Leica, Swarovski and even the Canon 10x42 stabilised models at over twice the price but felt the 12x36's were the best for my birdwatching needs because of the extra magnification and ability to see more detail when stabilised. OK they might not have some of the glass/waterproofing features of the others but for my needs (when focusing on birds) I was happy to choose them - hardly any noticeable optical difference and certainly lighter and considerable cheaper than the others.

So, probably not the world's best binos but perfect for my needs!
Not fully waterproof.

Can't focus on anything closer than approx 6 metres.

Lack of good fitting lens caps may annoy others but no problem to me.

Considering the power of magnification the binos are relatively small and compact, very lightweight too. The image stabilising is magnificent.
IS button is in the middle not to the side as the larger models. Also there are no lense caps on the exiting lenses
