Product information
Create your own photographic masterpieces with this Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24 mm f/2.8G ED Wide-Angle Zoom Lens, compatible with all cameras with a Nikon F mount.

An optical tour de force

You'll be able to capture precise, clear wide-angle shots thanks to a fast maximum aperture of f/2.8.

Achieve superb depth of field results in almost any situation as Nikon's proprietary lens technologies combine to give your photographs superior edge-to-edge sharpness, vibrant colour and deeper contrast – even if you're capturing a backlit scene.

The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24 mm Lens offers tough construction and reliable performance to meet the needs of discerning DSLR photographers who want to capture the best photos and HD videos possible – whatever you're shooting

Made for professional results

Even when you're taking photos in difficult conditions, the NIKKOR 14-24 mm f/2.8G Lens is rugged and up to the task, with professional-level dust and moisture resistance features.

Enjoy quiet capture with Nikon's exclusive Silent Wave Motor (SWM) that employs ultrasonic vibrations (as opposed to a gear system) to focus the lens, making it smoother, quieter and more accurate.

Internal Focusing (IF) technologies only move the internal lens groups during focusing, so you can focus closer since the lens does not adjust its size while autofocusing.

There's also the facility to switch from automatic to manual focusing with almost zero lag time by just turning the focus ring on the lens – so now you can move faultlessly into manual mode for finer focusing whilst using the viewfinder.

High quality glass

Extra-low dispersion optical glass sits side-by-side with normal optical glass in the NIKKOR 14-24 mm Lens to precisely correct for chromatic aberrations.

The glass features a Nano Crystal Coat (N) that drastically reduces ghosting and flare across a wide range of wavelengths – particularly useful when you're shooting under red light. Coma and other aberrations are counteracted by the use of Aspherical Lens Elements (AS). You'll be assured of fantastic results even when you're shooting at wide apertures.

Shoot with confidence and optimum clarity using the AF-S NIKKOR 14-24 mm f/2.8G Zoom Lens, featuring beautifully smooth operation and high-grade components.

Build quality, image quality, Nikon name.
Availability of filters especially polarising filter and is expensive compared to other lenses of a similar focal range e.g. Tamron 15-30.

Crisp Sharp !!
Build Quality is excellent
Focusing is very quick, spot on !!
Ultra wide range which is good for indoor photography and landscapes.
Bulky and heavy lens, not suitable for carrying all day on neck.
Very expensive lens, considering that it was released in 2007, it is still very expensive.
Doesn't have filter thread. Specialised filters are designed which are again very expensive.
I don't like he front lens cap. If you take it out multiple times then it put scratches on the built-in hood.
No Vibration Control on the lens. Other counter part like Tamron 15-30mm offer VR with much less price.
