If you’re an EE customer and you purchase an EE pay monthly plan from the Carphone Warehouse website, you’ll be sent a SIM card along with your new handset. But you should still keep using your existing SIM if it fits. Only use the new SIM if your new handset needs a different size. If you need to use your new SIM card, you’ll need to manually activate it on this EE webpage.

With EE smart plans, you can pick the benefits you want at the start of your plan, and then switch them when you fancy a change.

Data Gifting

WiFi Calling

If your indoor coverage is patchy or you’re in a remote location, you can make and take calls and texts using Wi-Fi. And if you’re travelling around London, you can access Wi-Fi in over 100 underground stations.

UK & Ireland call centres

EE call centres are based in UK and Ireland, so it’s easy for you to call and sort out any issues. You can also use the My EE app to chat online or carry out simple tasks yourself.


EE let you put a capped limit on your pay monthly bill, so you’ll never spend more than you can afford.

Your cap puts a limit on all the usual out-of-bundle charges like roaming and international calling. You can set it between £0 and £50, and you can pause, remove and amend it any time you want. Find out more here.


Stay in control of your account anytime, anywhere with the My EE app. It’s easy to see how much data you’ve got left when you’re out and about. Plus, the app links with your contacts – so when you view your bill you see names rather than phone numbers.


Network status checker

Need to quickly get information on your account when you’re not online? Then use the EE text service. It lets you text keywords to 150, and receive up to date info on all sorts of things, from upgrade eligibility to your bill and recent payments.

Free EU Roaming: Customers on eligible plans will be able to use their minutes, texts and data at no extra cost when roaming in the EU/EEA. Data Gifting: Gift to other pay monthly plans on the same account in increments of 500MB. Fair use policy applies when gifting large amounts of data 3 months in a row. No gifting to/from Apple Watches, 4GEE Home or 30 day 4GEE WiFi plans. Data not used in a month does not roll over, allowances are set back to zero at the start of each month. Data can only be used in accordance with the plan terms applicable to the receiving line. Only the account holder will be able to ‘gift’ data between lines on the account.
