HyperX CLOUD Flight brings your games to life
Want to enjoy the best gaming experience possible? You could invest in a giant 4K TV, but if you really want to be immersed in your games, your first port of call should be a decent gaming headset.
If you’re a gaming fan, you may have heard of HyperX. The company has been making high-quality headsets for several years, and the HyperX CLOUD Flight is no exception. Only this time, HyperX has gone one step further, with its first ever wireless headset.
With no wires, you can enjoy total freedom of movement up to 20 metres away from your PC or console. It doesn’t work via Bluetooth - instead you plug in a USB transmitter and you're good to go. This makes the wireless connection faster, and more reliable.
It’s easy to get started. Just plug in the receiver, and hold down the power button to activate the headset. The signal won’t ever cut out, nor will it suffer from lag, like some Bluetooth headsets can. In other words, you can enjoy an uninterrupted audio experience with no fuss.
Looks that don’t compromise on comfort
The headset is unmistakably HyperX. Right from the signature logo lit up by red LED lights, to the solid build quality. HyperX has quickly developed a reputation for top solid headsets, and it shows. The headset feels durable, and robust enough to handle a knock or two. Adjustable steel sliders, and 90° rotating earcups make it easy to adjust for a cosy fit.
It’s comfortable, too. The HyperX CLOUD Flight has what the company calls its signature memory foam comfort earcups. The padding feels soft to the touch, and softer still when pressed against your ears. The over-ear earcups completely envelop your ears to completely immerse you in your game. On louder volumes, outside sounds are kept at bay, for distraction-free gaming.
Easy-to-reach earcup controls
There are nice little design touches everywhere you look. The most noticeable one is those bright red LED lights. The HyperX logo lights up on the earcups while you play. A button on the side of them lets you change the lighting effect to a pulsing action, or switch them off to extend the battery life.
The volume is easily adjustable, too. Just raise your finger to the right-sided earcup and use the scroll wheel to turn the sound up, or down, without diverting your attention away from the screen.
How does it sound?
The HyperX CLOUD Flight wireless headset promises crystal clear, immersive gaming audio. And it delivers. We tried it with everything, from shooters, to racing games, and horror titles. Drive around the circuits in Project Cars 2, or GT Sport, and the sound of your car revving will reverberate around you as if you were in the driving seat.
During our Call of Duty session, gunshots sounded more ominous. You’ll even hear the faint footsteps of an enemy sneaking up on you. Horror games are made scarier, too. Jump scares are more frightening, and you’ll hear more of the ambient in-game sounds that you wouldn’t hear without a headset.
No detail is left unheard. We dare anyone to play The Evil Within 2 while wearing this headset. Whatever you play, this headset will make you feel as if you’re really in the game.
Speak clearly with a noise-cancelling mic
A detachable noise-cancelling microphone makes it easy to chat during online multiplayer sessions.
The noise-cancelling feature means everything you say to your mates will be heard crystal clear, so you won’t be asked to repeat yourself while playing team games. Want some privacy? Then hit the mute button on the left earcup to disable the mic. Tap it once more to resume talking through it.
The microphone even bends slightly, so you can move it to the side while playing, or detach it altogether if it gets in the way.
Listen for hours
With up to 30 hours of battery life*, it will outlast even your longest marathon gaming session. It’s easy to recharge the headset using the supplied USB cable. Also in the box is a 3.5 mm audio cable. You can plug this into any compatible music player, smartphone, or tablet to listen to music, or watch movies while you’re on the train.
The HyperX CLOUD Flight Wireless Gaming Headset works just as well when used as a regular pair of headphones, as it does while you’re playing games. They're built solidly, offer great sound, and have battery life to last all day.
They look to be an ideal choice for anyone looking to step into the world of high-quality gaming headsets. Play your favourite games with them, and you’ll never go back.
