The new Google Pixel Tablet has landed, and it’s loads of fun – incredibly fast and entertaining. Thinking of getting one? Here’s all you know, from screen to specs and everything in between.
Google Pixel Tablet: design
Just like other premium tablets, the Google Pixel Tablet boasts a minimalist design. It’s made from aluminium and a neo ceramic coating, with nothing getting in the way of the large display. That’s where all the action is, after all.
Google Pixel Tablet: screen size and display
The large 11-inch display is sharp, bright and colourful. We tested it out on a couple of blockbuster superhero movies and our favourite 3D games, and they looked amazing - super-smooth and full of detail, even when the action was frantic. Colours really popped too.
Google Pixel Tablet: colours
The Pixel Tablet is available in Porcelain, Hazel, and Rose colours.
Google Pixel Tablet: specs
From its powerful AI chip to a super handy Charging Speaker Dock, the Google Pixel Tablet is paced with impressive specs. Let’s check out the best of the bunch.
Google Pixel Tablet: battery life
Fully charged, the Google Pixel Tablet can last for up to 12 hours of video streaming – that's quite the binging sesh! Basically, you can do all the things you love on it all day long. Plus, the unique Charging Speaker Dock keeps it charged and ready, 24/7.
Google Pixel Tablet: memory and performance
The Google Pixel Tablet is powered by the same Tensor G2 processor that you’ll find in the Pixel 7 phone. Google says it makes the Pixel Tablet faster and more helpful than ever. It features advanced Google AI, and shares the same hardware security as the highly rated Pixel phones. Elsewhere under the hood there’s 8GB RAM, and you can choose from either 128GB or 256GB of storage.
Charging Speaker Dock: Hub mode
One of our favourite features has to be 'Hub Mode'. Simply slot your tablet into the Charging Speaker Dock that’s also in the box, and your screen becomes a smart control device similar to the likes of the Google Home Hub. Not only does it charge the tablet and boost its sound, but it gives you the power to play music, control your smart home devices and lots more.
The Pixel ecosystem explained
The Google Pixel Tablet is part of the Pixel ecosystem - a collection of devices and services designed by Google that work seamlessly together. If you’ve got more than one Google Pixel device, it gives you loads of options for making life easier.
If you’re listening to some tunes on your tablet at home with your Pixel Buds, you can walk out the door and keep the same playlist flowing on your Pixel phone. And with Nearby Share, you can quickly and securely share photos, videos, contacts, links and more between your Google Pixel Tablet and other nearby phones and laptops.
Google Pixel Tablet: camera
You'll find an 8MP camera at the front at the front of your tablet, and a similar 8MP camera at the rear. With support for Google Meet, WhatsApp, and other video-calling apps, you’ll be able to use your Google Pixel Tablet to chat to family, friends and work colleagues.
Google Pixel Tablet: the verdict
If you’re looking for a tablet for entertainment, the Google Pixel tablet is perfect. It’s great fun watching videos and playing games on its sharp and natural picture – it’s always smooth, and the colours really pop. Then when the action’s over, you can use Hub Mode to turn it into a smart speaker that controls your home. Very versatile, very smart.
