Ironing tech to help with laundry day
Steam irons
Smooth out those creases in no time with a healthy dose of steam. A steam iron is perfect for keeping your favourite clothes looking great, without having to wait. Full steam ahead!
Cordless irons
With a cordless iron, you won’t feel stuck to the socket. You can power through that stack of ironing wherever you want. Whether that’s in the kitchen, or in front of the telly. And you won’t have to worry about tripping over a cord either…
Clothes steamers
Off on a big night out? Grab a clothes steamer and freshen up your outfit. Give it a few shots of steam, and all those creases will vanish – even from delicate fabrics like silk.
Steam generator irons
A steam generator iron is way faster and more effective than a traditional iron. They pump out a never-ending stream of steam, which quickly gets rid of wrinkles and folds. And because their water tanks are bigger, you don’t have to refill them as often. So, you’ll get more done in one go!
What should I look for when buying an iron?
Want to upgrade your iron? Or maybe you want to make sure your wardrobe’s always looking fresh?
The first thing to think about is whether you need a standard steam iron or a steam generator iron. Steam irons are the most basic, but remove crinkles and creases easily and quickly. On the other hand, the best steam generator iron will come with a much bigger water tank. So, you can get through that huge pile of laundry without having to keep refilling it.
If you need something a little less heavy duty though, then go for a cordless iron instead. They’re perfect when you’re in a hurry, as you can freshen up a shirt without having to find a plug. Plus, you can iron anywhere. Letting you set up in front of the TV to watch a few episodes of your favourite show while you get the ironing done.
We’ve got irons for sale from all the big household names too. From Philips irons and Morphy Richards irons, to Russell Hobbs irons and Tefal irons.
Clothes steamer or iron
That all depends on how much you iron. If you’ve got to regularly tackle the kids’ school shirts or your suits for the office, then an iron is the best way to get rid of creases. But if you’re just freshening up a satin dress on the odd weekend, then a clothes steamer is the one for you. And you won’t have to waste time setting up the ironing board either!
