Returns and refunds
If your order is faulty or damaged, or if you’ve simply changed your mind, we’re happy to give you a refund.
Is the item your returning large or small?
Small items are audio products, cameras, computers, gaming products, small appliances and TVs (43" & under).
Large items are major appliances like dishwashers, washing machines, tumble dryers, fridges, freezers, ovens and TVs (over 43").
Why would you like to return your item?
Our policy
You can return a faulty item for an exchange or a refund within 30 days of purchase or delivery.
If more than 30 days has passed since purchase or delivery and your item is still within its guarantee period (normally 12 months from purchase), we may be able to offer you a prompt repair.
We don’t cover faults caused by accident damage, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.
How to return a faulty item
Within 30 days of your purchase or delivery date, the quickest way to help is in store (exceptions apply). Use our store finder to find your local store.
If you purchased your item online and you can’t come in store, you can:

How to return an unwanted item

Our policy
If you purchased online, you can return your items within 14 days even if you have opened it for inspection. It must be returned as new and in its original packaging.
If you purchased in store, you can return your item within 21 days in its unopened and sealed packaging along with proof of purchase (excludes connected mobile phones*)
*Returns policies for mobile phone contracts differ by network. You can change or cancel your contract with ID within 14 days of purchase. You are not able to change or cancel your contract with Vodafone.
I haven't received my order and I want to cancel it

I want to cancel my order by refusing delivery
If you’ve refused the delivery, or plan to refuse the delivery of your order because you want to cancel it, please contact us using our Webchat service.
I want to cancel a mobile phone contract order
To cancel a mobile phone contract bought online, please contact us by phone.
I received a damaged or incorrect item
You can arrange for the damaged or incorrect item to be collected and to receive a refund or exchange by contacting us using our Webchat service.

Why would you like to return your item?

If it’s been more than 30 days since or purchase delivery and your item is under one year old, the item’s manufacturer should offer you a repair in the first instance. My item is over one year old
Have a Care Service plan? Great! Go ahead and call 0344 561 1234, and one of our expert team will be more happy to assist you.
If you don’t have a Care service plan, we call offer you one of our repair services, just head over to our Repairs page for more detail.

Exceptions to in-store returns
Our stores are unable to process a return for gym equipment, 'Online Only' large kitchen appliances and mobile phone contracts purchased online, or if you paid online using Your Plan credit.
For Paypal orders our stores can only offer an exchange or gift card. If you'd prefer a refund via PayPal contact us using our Webchat service.
FAQs
These can take up to 14 days to process. If you’ve been waiting longer than 14 days, then please contact our customer services team.
If you choose to cancel an order that was purchased online that you have not yet received, please chat now to one of our helpful colleagues using our Webchat service. Alternatively, please use our dedicated online cancellation request form.

Returns and exchanges can only be processed with proof of purchase. This can be the sales receipt, a bank statement or an online sales invoice.
Yes we do refund the delivery charges in most instances. However, in some cases delivery charges may not be refunded, our contact centre will discuss with you
Remove any personal data
Before you return anything to us, please remove any personal data stored on the device such as photos or saved numbers, as you won’t be able to access these once your device has been returned
Make sure you include:
• Your full name and address (including postcode)
• Proof of purchase, or if you no longer have proof of purchase you can find the transaction number on the upper right-hand corner of your invoice
• Your item, along with all of the original packaging
• Any accessories that come with it (including any free gifts)
**Returning an iPhone **
Deactivate “Find my iPhone”. If you don’t, we may be unable to accept your return.
Returning an Android Phone
Deactivate Google Smart Lock. If we don’t, we may be unable to accept your return.
**What about the SIM card? **
There’s no need to return your SIM card.
If you are exchanging or returning an upgrade device, please keep your SIM card in a safe place – you may want to use it in your new phone*
*You’ll be liable to pay for any changes incurred on this SIM until your handset is returned and the contract is deactivated.

Returning or exchanging a phone that is no longer in the UK?
If you’d like to return a phone bought from us that is no longer in the UK, you’ll need to call us on 0344 551 0000** to see if your items are eligible for a return or an exchange.
Please note that you’ll need to cover the cost of shipping, duty and tax (where applicable). Currys does not cover the cost of postage for international returns except for the return of faulty items (only the cost of a standard UK postal service will be refunded where applicable).
Please make sure that you’ve followed the guidelines outlined by Royal Mail.
Please note: if you have received any promotional items as part of your purchase, these would also have to be returned.
