The Google Pixel 10 series was officially unveiled at the Made by Google 2025 event in New York today, and there’s plenty to get excited about. Smarter cameras, britghter displays, a new chip designed for the Ai era, and lots more.
The new Pixel 10 is a step up in just about every way. And just like in previous years. Google has given us not just one, but a series of phones with something for everyone.

All-new Ai features
Voice Translate is an awesome new Ai feature. You can now translate phone calls in real time… but not only that… in your own voice! And it all happens on-device, so the conversation stays private. The event demo showed a conversation between Jimmy Fallon (speaking English) and YouTube star Karen Polinesia (speaking Spanish). The translation happened incredibly fast, and seemed incredibly accurate.
Another new Ai feature is called Magic Cue. It uses Gemini Ai to work out what you’re trying to do, and connects the dots across all the different apps on your phone. During the event, a demonstration showed it in action. An incoming message from a friend asked “Where are we getting dinner tonight”, and Magic Cue automatically found the booking email, and puts it on a message ready to be sent back with a single tap.
Google’s Ai-powered photo editing is smarter than ever. With Camera Coach, you just describe the edits you want. For example, write “I want to improve the lighting,” “remove that person,” “brighten my face,” or “make it sunset”, and it happens in a second or two. You now have the power to make complex edits without any Photoshop skills.
A brighter display
The first thing you’ll notice about the Pixel 10 is the display. Google has moved to its Actua and Super Actua panels, which deliver up to 3,300 nits of peak brightness on the Pixel 10 Pro - the brightest screen ever on a Pixel.
Even the standard Pixel 10 gets a serious upgrade, with a sharp 6.3-inch Actua OLED at 3,000 nits. So text stays readable outdoors in full sun, and HDR content pops indoors.
On the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the magic happens across two screens. There’s a sleek 6.4-inch Actua outer display, and a massive 8-inch Super Actua Flex inner display that unfolds into a tablet-like workspace.
All the Pixel 10 phones have a 120Hz refresh rate, so scrolling always feels smooth whether you’re flipping through TikToks or serious spreadsheets.
Better cameras than ever before
Pixel cameras are famous for being up there with the very best. And the Pixel 10 series has better camera specs than ever before.
Pixel 10 now has an advanced triple camera system including a new 5x telephoto lens and Super Res Zoom up to 20x.
Pixel 10 Pro & 10 Pro XL has the most advanced Pixel camera yet, with a 50MP wide camera, 48MP ultrawide with Macro Focus, and 48MP telephoto that reaches 100x zoom. You also get 8K video with Video Boost for ultra-steady handheld clips.

Under the hood: more Google power
At the heart of the Pixel 10 series is the new Google Tensor G5, Google’s most powerful chip yet. It’s designed to run Gemini (Google’s next-gen Ai assistant) directly on-device. That means faster translations, smarter call screening, instant photo edits, and Ai that works even without constant cloud connection.

Safety and security
With real-time security checks, the Pixel 10 series gives you continuous protection online, plus regular security updates for 7 years. It also has Car Crash Detection and Crisis Alerts to help keep you safe. Pixel was the first phone to launch Car Crash Detection (back in 2019), a feature that automatically calls the emergency services if it detects that you’ve just had an accident. It’s a potential life-saver.
