We’ve just heard some exciting news from Apple. New super-powered versions of its most popular products are coming very soon:

  • MacBook Pro (14-inch). More speed and power for AI features and demanding tasks. Release date 25th October 2025.

  • iPad Pro. Thinner and brighter, with improved AI features. Release date 1st November 2025.

  • Apple Vision Pro headset. Mixed reality is now smoother, sharper and more detailed. Release date 15th November 2025.

We’ve got lots more detail on what Apple revealed below, with all the confirmed specs and features.

The M5 chip. Small size, big difference

At the centre of all the new products is the brand new M5 chip. It uses Apple’s most advanced processer yet, which Apple says is faster and uses less power. That means apps will open in a flash, multitasking should feel super smooth, and you’ll spend less time searching for your charger.

It’s built to handle graphics better, so creative work and games will look sharper and more detailed. But perhaps the biggest step forward is in AI. The M5’s new Neural Engine can process an incredible 40 trillion operations per second. That’s a lot, and it helps with all sorts of behind-the-scenes features - from photo edits and speech recognition to tools that summarise content for you.

MacBook Pro. More power where it matters

The first Apple device to get the M5 chip is the new 14-inch MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro was already one of the best laptops around – but the new M5 chip should give it quite the upgrade - making it smoother and more capable.

At first glance, not much has changed. The new MacBook Pro still has that solid aluminium build, the bright and detailed Liquid Retina XDR display, and the comfortable keyboard. There’s also a new Space Black finish that’s more resistant to fingerprints. The big difference is how the new 14-inch MacBook Pro runs.

Thanks to the M5, the MacBook Pro looks like it’ll handle demanding tasks more easily. Whether that’s editing a large video file or running several hefty design apps at once. The fans should be quieter, while keeping the MacBook Pro super cool.

Battery life is another strong point. The new MacBook Pro has the same all-day performance previous versions are known for, even with all that extra power and speed.

With up to 96GB unified memory and 8TB storage, the new MacBook Pro has the specs to handle huge creative projects - perfect for multitaskers and content creators. The M5 chip also helps power new AI-based features like smarter search, better file suggestions and on-device photo sorting. So it should save you precious time in everyday use.

iPad Pro. Thinner, brighter, and ready for work

The new iPad Pro is also rocking the M5 chip, and it’s a big step up for Apple’s top-end tablet.

It’s available in 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, both with stunning OLED displays for better contrast and deeper colours. The 13-inch model even has an optional nano-texture glass version that’s designed to cut down on glare. Handy if you use it near windows or outdoors.

Despite its slim and lightweight design, the iPad Pro is boasting desktop PC-level performance. So, yo’ll be able to edit 8K video, design 3D models, and multitask across several intensive apps without lag.

That power also makes a difference to everyday use. Browsing, streaming and note-taking should all feel more responsive. The M5’s improved AI features come into play here too, with faster handwriting recognition, instant photo clean-up, and real-time translations that don’t need an internet connection.

Pair it with the Magic Keyboard or Apple Pencil Pro, and it should be flexible enough to be a potential laptop replacement. And if you’re not looking for that, it should still be a very powerful tablet that can keep up with whatever you throw at it.

Apple Vision Pro — smoother, sharper, and more detailed

The Apple Vision Pro headset has also been upgraded with the M5 chip, and while it looks the same on the outside, it looks like it’ll run better in almost every way.

It’s designed for mixed reality (blending digital content with your real surroundings) with the M5 helping it to feel more natural. The visuals look sharper and more detailed, movements smoother, and steadier overall performance. Battery life has been improved too, adding around two extra hours of use.

Eye and hand tracking have been refined, so the headset should respond more accurately when you look, point or pinch to interact with things. Everything should feel a little more seamless. You might even forget you’re actually wearing it!
