Things to find out before you buy a mobile
Before you buy a phone as a gift for someone, you need to ask yourself (or them) a few key questions.
Pay monthly or SIM free? Pay monthly phones let you spread the cost of the phone over time, and tie you into a mobile network for the length of the contract. SIM free phones give you the freedom to choose any network and contract – but you need to pay for the phone upfront.
Team iPhone or Android? If they’ve got a phone they’re used to, they’ll probably want to stick to the same operating system.
