iPhone 15 models
iPhone 15
New and improved. The new colour-infused glass back looks great, and there’s the A16 Bionic chip to keep everything running smoothly. The 2x telephoto zoom means you’ll be able to take next-level portraits too.
iPhone 15 Plus
Everything you love about iPhone 15, but bigger. This one’s got a 6.7” Super Retina XDR display, plus the A16 Bionic chip and stunning new colour-infused glass back.
iPhone 15 Pro
The new iPhone 15 Pro is made of tougher stuff. It’s now made of Titanium, with a matte glass back, so it looks stunning. The action button gives you loads of functions to choose from. And of course the Pro camera system makes photos look better than ever.
iPhone 15 Pro Max
The 6.7” Super Retina XDR display is perfect for showing off everything you take on the Pro camera system. That means super-high resolution photos and amazing-looking portraits. And it’s all powered by the speedy A17 Pro chip.
What’s New?
Display and screen size
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro ranges each have 6.1” and 6.7” options. They’ve all got Super Retina XDR displays, so you know everything will look stunning.
It comes in pink!
iPhone 15 adds some new and exciting colours to the palette. It now comes in black, blue, green, yellow and, yes, even pink. If you’re going for an iPhone 15 Pro, you can choose from black, white, blue or natural titanium.
Colour-infused glass
The back of iPhone 15 has colour infused into it using a little bit of science. There’s super-fine metallic ions that bring the colour to life in the glass itself. But don’t worry, your phone will still be super tough thanks to the aluminium frame.
Goodbye Lightning. Hello USB-C!
This has been doing the rounds in the news for a few weeks now. The suits at the EU have decided that every kind of portable device needs to be compatible with a universal charger by December 2024. Which means for the new iPhone, Apple’s Lightning tech is out, and standard USB-C charging is in. That’ll be another charging cable to add to the drawer then.
The new camera in focus
Whether you’re taking arty shots or just snapping (another) picture of your dog, iPhone cameras keep everything looking fab. The new iPhones have an all-new 48 main camera, and 3 zoom levels for all sorts of photos. From the 2x telephoto for close-ups to the 0.5x Ultra Wide camera, you’ll have loads of ways to capture the action.
iPhone 15 Pro lets you take 24 MP photos that are bursting with detail. Or you can shoot in 48 MP ProRAW to get more control over colour and detail. Or choose between 24 mm, 28 mm or 35 mm lenses. That’ll really have you feeling like a pro.
Faster downloading with Wi-Fi 6E
Speaking of those huge photos, you’ll need a way to transfer them quickly. Wi-Fi 6E on iPhone 15 Pro gives you up to 2x faster wireless speeds. So no more watching the loading bar.
A-Series Chip
iPhone 15 sees a step-up from the A15 Bionic chip to the A16 Bionic chip. It drives everything you want to do on your phone, like taking photos or playing graphics-intensive games. Or even taking phone calls.
A top-of-the-range phone puts a lot of power in your hands. That’s why iPhone 15 Pro has the A17 Pro chip. It’s got a GPU that brings you console-style tech like ray tracing and upscaling. The chip’s faster too, which means smooth scrolling and speedy apps.
What’s new with Apple Watches?
Apple Watches got a look-in too. There’s some great new features on the Watch Series 9 and Watch Ultra 2. Hands full? Double tap gestures let you control your watch without even touching it. The S9 SiP makes using your watch super smooth. And Watch Ultra 2 has Apple’s biggest and brightest display yet. It goes from a dim 1 nit to a whopping 3000 nits, which means you’ll be able to see it even in bright sunshine. Like at the top of a mountain.
