Tough build

A new all-action button
The Action button lets you get to your favourite features fast. Just press and hold to launch the action you want. Need to open the camera in a flash? Done.
From what we’ve seen, the best part of this button is that you can tailor it to whatever suits your needs best. Use it open an app, run a series of tasks, or change actions depending on the time of day or your location – everything from setting an alarm to ordering your morning coffee.
The powerful new A18 chip
Under the hood, the A18 chip powers everything. This brand new chip is custom‑built for Apple Intelligence (more on that below) and is so advanced that it’s jumped two generations ahead of the A16 Bionic chip on iPhone 15. It also gives battery a life a big boost, even when it’s running lots of new features like Camera Control.
Apple Intelligence (coming this December)
Apple Intelligence is the next big thing in AI, arriving in December via an iOS 18 update. It brings advanced features like predictive text, smart responses and intelligent task suggestions, all integrated seamlessly with your iPhone 16. Apple Intelligence will also make Siri a lot smarter, more intuitive and capable of understanding your commands with greater accuracy. It can even tell if you stumble over a phrase or get a word wrong.
Apple Watch Series 10

The re-engineered speaker is 30% smaller but still powerful enough to play your favourite podcast if you forget your earphones. Plus, this Apple Watch charges faster than ever – up to 80% in just 30 minutes. It can also alert you to potential health conditions like sleep apnea, giving you valuable insights to share with your GP.
AirPods 4
The new Apple AirPods 4 are the most comfortable yet. They also come with a huge upgrade in sound quality, with deeper bass and crystal-clear highs. Powered by the latest H2 chip, these AirPods now feature active noise cancellation and a transparency mode that lets you stay aware of your surroundings. They’re also smart enough to automatically switch modes based on where you are, and even lower the volume when you start talking—perfect for grabbing your coffee without having to take them out.
