Stranger than heaven is a single-player, story-driven RPG that follows Makoto Daito across fifty years of struggle, survival and self-discovery. Born in 1915 San Francisco to an American father and Japanese mother, Makoto faces discrimination and loss from the start. Driven to find somewhere he truly belongs, he stows away on a ship to Japan. There, you'll explore five distinct cities across different eras, each shaped by its own culture, tension and atmosphere.

Survival means fighting with everything you've got. Hands-on combat puts you in control, letting you chain strikes, counters and weapons like knives, hammers and katanas. Every battle feels personal and intense. But Makoto's story goes beyond the fighting. Discover his hidden talent for performance, create original music and guide his rise from hardship to the spotlight. As the decades pass, how his journey ends is yours to shape.
