Luigi's Mansion 2 HD platforms
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is a Nintendo Switch exclusive, so you won't be able to play it on other gaming consoles. Unless you’ve got a copy of the original 3DS game hiding under a blanket somewhere...
How to play Luigi's Mansion 2 HD
You'll have to summon all your courage and save the day in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. The Dark Moon, a large object that hung over Evershade Valley and pacified its ghostly inhabitants, has been shattered by a familiar foe from the first Luigi's Mansion game. Engulfing the area with a thick fog and turning all the spirits hostile — the valley's peace-keeping Professor has called on Luigi for some urgent back up...
Playing as Mario's taller bro, you'll have to recover all the broken pieces of the Dark Moon which have been scattered across the valley's various mansions. They're screaming and teeming with the supernatural, and these troublemakers will use every trick in the book to block your path with traps and puzzles. But there's no need to run away squealing, as Professor E. Gadd's equipped you with the right tool for the job — the Poltergust 5000.
Use this ghost-busting backpack to light up dark areas, interact with the environment, and of course — suck up those giggling ghosts. You'll have to stun them with your Strobulb first though, and if you're brave enough, you can even vacuum up multiple spirits at once. Make sure to capture every ghost you encounter though. You won't want them escaping the valley and wreaking havoc on the rest of the world!
Not frightening enough for you? Well, you won't just be clearing out a couple of haunted mansions. You'll also have to explore a former plant research lab filled with giant Venus flytraps, a broken-down clock factory overflowing with sand, and an icy, snow-covered mine that'll have you slipping and sliding around all kinds of dangers. Brace yourself for a few boss battles along the way too…
How many hours of gameplay will Luigi's Mansion 2 HD have?
According to How Long to Beat, the original game (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon) took about 14 hours to complete. But for that 100% stat, it would take about twice that amount at just over 28 hours.
What are Luigi's Mansion 2 HD’s main characters?
Luigi might be faint of heart, but he's the unlikely hero you'll control in this creepy caper. You'll have ghost researcher Professor E. Gadd dishing out some solid advice on the supernatural throughout the game though.
What are the different Luigi's Mansion 2 HD game mode options?
It's looks like it'll mostly be all about that spooky main adventure in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. But you can team up with some pals to take on those ghosts too...
Will Luigi's Mansion 2 HD have a multiplayer mode?
Yes! You can recruit fellow ghost hunters using local wireless play or Nintendo Switch online. And while you won't get to tackle the main story with your mates, you will get to take on the challenges of the terrifying ScareScraper together — offering four different modes:
Hunter: Use teamwork to capture all the ghosts on each floor.
Rush: Race to find the exit to the next floor before time runs out.
Polterpup: Track down and capture ghost dogs using your Dark-Light Devices.
Surprise: One of the other three objectives above is randomly chosen per floor.
