While a PlayStation Plus subscription lets you play online — and comes with a whole load of member only discounts — one of the best things about it is the bundle of games you get every month at no extra cost. And it doesn’t matter which one of the PS Plus tiers you’re on either. Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers can all get in on the action!
Then there’s the monthly updates to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue. Available to anyone on the Extra and Premium tiers, this library of games is constantly growing. It’s already chock full of top titles, and it’s set to keep getting better.
To help you get the most out of your subscription, here’s everything you need to know about the latest PS Plus monthly games and what’s coming soon to the Game Catalogue…
PlayStation Plus monthly games
If you’ve got any kind of PS Plus subscription, you’ll get three free games at the start of each month. And these can range from exclusive blockbuster hits to those smaller (but no less fun) indie gems. Oh, and they’re yours to keep for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Nice.
It’s a really good (and cheap) way to fill out your library. Plus, you might find a new favourite that you missed, or didn’t even think about buying when it first came out. Download them and give ‘em a go!
The titles you get will cover the PS4 and the PS5 too, and sometimes a PS VR experience even gets thrown into the mix. So, if you haven’t upgraded just yet, you’re not being left behind completely. While if you’re on Sony’s current console, you’ll be able to play the PS5 games, plus the older PS4 ones through backwards compatibility. If you’re not a subscriber yet though, what are you waiting for? Grab one of our PlayStation gift cards and sign up.
You can download this month’s games from February 4. And speaking of the games…
Payday 3 (PS5)
Assemble your crew and get set to pull off the ultimate heist. With up to three other players, you’ll have to think smart to make it out with the loot. Do you kick in the door and assault the bank head on? Or go the sneaky route and tiptoe your way past security to gain access to the vault? It’s entirely up to you. The fact you’re getting this for free is an absolute steal.
High on Life (PS4, PS5)
You’re fresh out of high school. You haven’t got a job. And there’s not much going for you. Until an alien invasion force attacks earth. As the unlikely hero, you’ll use an arsenal of talking guns (we know, bear with us) to fight back and save the universe. Each weapon comes with its own unique skills, ideal for taking out different galactic goons. So, arm yourself and get blasting!
Pac-Man World Re-Pac (PS4, PS5)
If you’re after a hit of nostalgia, you can’t go wrong with Pac-Man. Pac-Man World Re-Pac is a remake of the classic PlayStation platformer. After going home for his big birthday bash, those pesky ghosts decide to kidnap his family and friends. Party ruined. Mounting a one-man rescue mission, you’ll have to solve puzzles and dodge spirits to get them back.
With updated graphics, a cleaner UI and carefully tuned gameplay, it’s going be even better than you remember.

Downloading your free PS Plus games is nice and easy. But first, you’ll need to make sure you’re signed into your PlayStation account. Done that? Here’s how to get your PlayStation Plus games…
On PS5:

Find the ‘Monthly Games’ section.
You’ll see the current month’s free games to download.

After adding the game to your library, you’ll see an option to download it straight away. Click on it to start downloading it.
If you don’t want to download it right now, no worries. It’ll be waiting for you in your library whenever you fancy it.
On PS4:
Head to the PlayStation Plus tab on the top row of the home screen.
Select ‘Monthly games’.
Follow the same steps from 3-6 above.
