Like we said, South Park: Snow Day! will be playable on all the latest consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch) as well as PC. There's no news on cross-platform play just yet, but we'll keep you posted if we hear anything.

How to play South Park: Snow Day!

South Park: Snow Day! is an action-adventure RPG that'll have you in stitches from start to finish. A "level 10 endless winter spell" has been cast on South Park, school's out, and the kids have invented a new fantasy game to play on their unexpected day off.

But Stan's gone rogue. He’s made up his own rules and formed an enemy faction of elves — turning the innocent fun into a violent battle sprawling across the snow-piled streets. Play as the new kid on the block and guide Cartman, Kyle, Kenny, and your army on a quest to save the war-torn town from "Marshwalker" Stan.

Use devastating melee and ranged weapons — plus special abilities — to fight off rival hordes and epic bosses. You'll also have to collect trading cards to gain new powers, like 'Fart Escape' which launches you into the air so you can evade enemy ambushes. Or defend your base by blasting foes away with 'Laser Eyes' instead.

You’ll have to contend with some panicked citizens losing their minds around you, too. But don't forget to have some fun along the way — it's a snow day, after all!

How many hours of gameplay will South Park: Snow Day have?

The developers haven't revealed many details just yet, but the price of the game hints at probably between 15 to 20 hours of play. According to How Long to Beat, the previous South Park game (2017's The Fractured But Whole) took about 18 hours to complete — so it's a pretty safe bet.

You'll see friendly faces everywhere in South Park: Snow Day! spouting "howdy, neighbour" and maybe a few insults too. You will be teaming up with Cartman, Kyle, and Kenny to take down Stan and his advancing forces — but you'll have backup from Butters, Clyde, and other familiar characters from the long-running show. Plus, there will be more new kids just like you!

What South Park: Snow Day features are player-customisable?

South Park: Snow Day! will let you change up your character with new clothes, skills, and upgraded weapons. Who knows, maybe you'll get to equip them with The Sword of a Thousand Truths? Those rival factions won't stand a chance!

With the new co-op mode, you'll get to play with up to three friends online to take on missions together and unleash powerful co-ordinated attacks on your foes. But if your mates are busy, you can just use the matchmaking feature to pair up with other players instead. Or go into battle solo with some ally bots by your side.
