Got yourself an Xbox Game Pass? If not, then let’s quickly fill you in. For those of you with an Xbox, mobile or PC, an Xbox Game Pass is basically the Netflix of gaming. For a monthly subscription fee, you get 100s of games ready to play whenever you want. And you’ll get access to the odd bit of DLC thrown in too! For more on the nuts and bolts of Xbox Game Pass, check out Xbox Game Pass explained.

But, if you’ve already been introduced to the wonders of Game Pass, then I’ve got some good news. If you’ve been wondering what to play next, this May Xbox added a bunch of new games to their roster. What are they? Let’s check them out…

New games

FIFA 21 – console and PC

Goooaaaal! Yep, that’s right, the latest in the footie franchise is there for the taking. Whether you’re having a casual play against friends or striving towards the top spot in Career Mode, there are more places, players and awesome gameplay features to discover. Just head to EA Play (included with your Xbox Game Pass) and have a kick about.

Psychonauts – cloud, console and PC

If you don’t know Psychonauts, get to know. This is an absolute cult classic of a game. The storyline is funny, clever and full of heart, with loads of quirky characters to get to know and love. And even though the gameplay of this platformer feels a little old-school now, it’s still a ton of fun.

And it’s a good time to try it out, since a new trailer for Psychonauts 2 just landed! This is one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2021, so getting to grips with the prequel can’t hurt.

Red Dead Online – cloud and console

Red Dead needs no introduction… but we’re going to do it anyway. The base game is one of the most beloved of all time. And now with Red Dead Online you get to create your own Wild West story.

Get your cowboy on with millions of other players in absolutely stunning surroundings. Battle outlaw gangs, your environment, each other and cause chaos. Or build up a life, hunting, fishing and trading. The options are almost endless.

Already played Red Dead Redemption? You might be surprised at the new features, gameplay and extra enhancements that have been added over the years…

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster – cloud and console

Want to relive this vintage favourite without the 00s graphics? Well, now you can. This version gives the award-winning RPG Final Fantasy X and its sequel Final Fantasy X-2 an update with more modern HD graphics. But that’s not it- there’s new music and extra minigames too!

Remnant: From the Ashes - PC

Horror lovers, this one’s for you. An interdimensional evil called the Root has taken over Earth. Fight off a whole host of demonic creatures as you battle to save the human race from its post-apocalyptic nightmare. This is third-person shooter goodness at its finest!

Plus, you can play it with friends too. Remnant: From the Ashes has a really well reviewed co-op mode to go alongside its single-player. So if you need a little help rescuing humanity, invite a friend along!

Dragon Quest Builders 2 – console and PC

This warm fuzzy hug of a game is all about – you guessed it – building! In this block-building RPG, your creative, puzzle-solving skills are put to the test to defeat an evil cult. Plus, there’s some combat thrown in there for good measure too!

Collect, grow and discover a ton of different resources to build your creations. And if you want to take a detour off the main story mode, go online and build in sandbox mode with up to 4 players.

Outlast 2 – cloud, console and PC

Another dark and creepy game for you, Outlast 2 is a first-person psychological horror survival game that doesn’t pull any punches. You play as Blake Langermann, an investigative journalist who’s looking into a mysterious unsolved murder. Set in the depths of the Arizona desert, this is one that will stay with you for a while.

Steep – cloud and console

Travelling to the Alps probably seems a bit out of reach for most of us right about now. So do it on your Xbox or mobile instead! Race down treacherous mountain sides and breath-taking Alpine landscapes on skis, a snowboard, a paraglider or even a wingsuit. Perform tricks and challenges to wow your mates online and become the ultimate extreme sports legend.

Just Cause 4: Reloaded – cloud, console and PC

Want action? Adventure? To feel awesome while you cause destruction and battle the elements with a load of high-tech weaponry and vehicles? Yeah, we thought so. You’re Rico Rodriguez, a rogue agent dropped into the South American (fictional) country of Solis to take down The Black Hand, a massive para-military organisation… and you’re about to have a whole load of fun.
