We’ve just launched a new ‘Curries for Tech’ scheme, where customers can take their old unwanted tech into selected stores and exchange it for a free delicious curry. Yum’s the word!

And we’re not just selling any old curries. We’ve created a special menu based on ingredients that can be locally sourced or foraged in-store. So for a limited time only, shoppers can get their hands on…
Mixer Masala. A whirlwind of taste and flavours infused in a classic masala.
Air Fried-Aloo. A spud-tacular take on a vegan curry, air-fried to crisp perfection.
Crock Pot-ato Vindaloo. A traditional taste slow cooked with accompanying fiery flavours. Warning: we may have made this one a bit too spicy.
Currys Curry. An innovative purple curry with a tech-infused blend of spices.
The launch of Curries for Tech follows a high number of consumer requests for us to actually stock curries. It makes perfect sense. This new service will spice up the shopping experience for customers, and encourage them to exchange old, unwanted e-waste for, well, a curry.
From today, customers can tantalise their tastebuds with one of four curry dishes available in 25 Currys stores up and down the country. For a limited time only, the purple food truck will be open outside selected stores from 12pm–2pm daily, dishing out the finest flavours from our menu.
But that’s not all. In addition to the free curry, when bringing in a piece of old tech to be recycled, shoppers can still receive a voucher worth at least £5 (minimum £25 spend to redeem) to put towards their next tech purchase using the Currys Cash for Trash initiative.
Dan Rubel, Brand and Marketing Director at Currys, explains the inspiration behind this unique offering: "Many customers come to us looking confused and asking for a curry, but Lamb Rogan Josh lovers and Chicken Phaal fans often leave empty handed. We decided enough is enough and are trialling our Curries for Tech scheme, so shoppers can now help save e-waste from landfill whilst also getting their curry kick for free, at Currys.”

We do offer Cash for Trash though, which is definitely worth it. And who knows? One day, Curries for Tech could become a reality… the more we think about it, the tastier it sounds!
