This is a chance for gamers to try out the latest and upcoming games, meet their idols and catch the latest gaming news before anyone else. And if you couldn’t make it to Cologne this year, no worries. We’re here to bring you the latest games and biggest announcements…

It was game trailers galore! Here’s a complete round up for you to watch. Or, if you want a quick summary of what you should know, we’ve picked out some of the hottest games below.
Borderlands 4 - Platforms TBC
Ok, the Borderlands film may have divided opinion a bit, but seeing Pandora on the screen makes us hungry for a fresh taste of chaos. Releasing next year, expect more mayhem, more madcap humour, and, of course, loadsa loot. We’ll let you know if older consoles are included, but we’d be surprised if we didn’t see it on PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 - Playstation, Xbox, PC
As you may already know, the latest Call of Duty is due to be released on 25 October, but we’re getting a first look at the single player campaign - set during the post Cold War early 1990s. The mission we saw involved infiltration and a retinal scanner - so keep your eyes peeled for more in October. Expect Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to hit Xbox Game Pass on day one of release.
Genshin Impact - Xbox
The Traveller is coming to Xbox! Whether on PlayStation, PC, iOS or Android, millions of people have been enjoying this free-to-play open world action RPG for years now. And finally Xbox fans can join the party, from 20 November.
Avowed - Xbox X|S and PC
With RPG giants Obsdian at the helm, we were expecting this fantasy RPG to have several different endings depending on how you played the game. Turns out that there are loads of them. So it’s unlikely that any two Avowed playthroughs will ever be the same. Expect to see this one arrive on Xbox Game Pass from 15 February 2025.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 - PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S
Produced on a peasant’s budget, Kingdom Come Deliverance was a surprise hit that put players in a super immersive Medieval world. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will take all that was best about the first game and up the ante with a bigger slab of 15th century Bohemia to explore, more wars and even gunpowder. Release date is now set for February 11, 2025.
Dune: Awakening - PC
If you’re tired of unpredictable British summers and fancy guaranteed sunshine, how about a holiday on Arrakis? Dune: Awakening will be a massive open-world multiplayer game where you survive and thrive in the Dune universe. Think GTA but with more sand. It’ll be worming its way to PC early next year.
Path of Exile 2 - PC, Mac, PS5, Xbox Series X/S
New trailer. New gameplay. New release date. The free online only sequel to the action RPG horror hit is available to play on Early Access on November 15. As long as you have a next-gen system of some kind, you can get questing!
Dying Light: The Beast - Platforms TBC
Combine parkour and zombies and you have the gameplay loop of Dying Light. News from the devs is that a third game is being worked on. Fan favourite Kyle Crane returns from the original Dying Light as a playable protagonist set on revenge. No release date as yet, but we’ll let you know when that changes.
Starfield Shattered Space - Xbox and PC
Starfield’s first DLC is finally ready for launch and will be out on 30 September. And if you hated the walking simulator that was planetary exploration, great news! A new update will provide a dune buggy called REV-8 - so your step counting days are finally over.
Goat Simulator Remastered - all platforms?!
Who knew that a game called Goat Simulator would be such a big hit? Such a success that the G.O.A.T. of goat games is getting the remastering treatment, which will include all the DLC - even a rare example that was previously only on mobile. Expect it later this year. The original Goat Simulator was available on practically every platform - so we don’t see why that won’t happen again.
Mafia: The Old Country - PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC
Mafia has been trading off that vintage gangster vibe for years now, so it was only a matter of time before the series took a visit to Italy. Set in early 1900s Sicily, we’ll get to explore the origins of the Mafia. And hopefully pick up a few meatball recipes along the way. Apparently it’s being released at some point in 2025. We’ll let you know when we hear more.
