There’s only one way to introduce MADiSON. It’s the scariest game ever made. And don’t just take our word for it. There’s been a scientific study about it and all. And you can’t really argue with science! So, are you feeling brave?

To get you ready for this nightmare, we’ve found every scrap of info we can. From details on the chilling gameplay to the price, release date and more. Good luck out there. You’re going to need it…

What is MADiSON VR’s release date?

MADiSON VR creeps its way onto virtual reality headsets on February 20th, 2024. So, switch off the lights and draw the curtains – because you haven’t got long to wait at all.

How much will MADiSON VR cost?

The price won’t scare you off. You can grab the non-VR version at the moment for only £30. And even though we don’t know for sure just yet, it’s safe to say that the VR edition should cost about the same when it launches. That’s usually how it goes.

Can I pre-order MADiSON VR?

Not at the moment. We’ll let you know when it’s time to place your pre-order and get set for fright night. Either check back here, or head over to our new games hub in the next few weeks for the latest pre-order info.

MADiSON VR platforms

To play MADiSON, you’re going to need a PS5, plus a PS VR2 headset. Or, if you’re on PC, you can use any compatible PC VR headset with your gaming PC through Steam. We’re talking gear like the Rift, Vive or Windows Mixed Reality.

Make sure you’re ready though. Because all that stomach churning horror is going to be right there in front of your eyes. Literally.

What are the different MADiSON VR game mode options?

There’s only a spine-chilling story to play through in MADiSON. And here’s what you’re letting yourself in for…

You’ve woken up in a dark room. The door is locked, and you’re completely trapped. Oh, and your hands are covered in blood too. But it’s not yours. Plus, now you’re being tormented by MADiSON. A powerful spirit who’s forcing you to finish a grisly, decades old ritual. You’ll have to be strong to resist her. If you don’t, you’ll be taken by the darkness. When it rains it pours, eh?

How to play MADiSON VR

MADiSON VR is a fully immersive psychological horror. Using a possessed camera, you’ll bridge the gap between our world and the spirit one. And you’re really going to need to focus, as it’s your ticket out of the ceremony you’re trapped in. You’ll need it to collect clues, solve puzzles and move through the environment. Time to get snapping.

While you explore, you’ll be stalked by MADiSON. But she’s not the only one. Other entities – each with their own disturbing tale to discover – will be hot on your heels. Make sure you pic and choose your moment to use the camera. If you don’t, you’ll give your hiding spot away!

You won’t ever get too comfortable either. The game will activate events completely at random, while the mind-bending puzzles will be mixed up to keep every playthrough fresh. That’s one way to keep you on your toes.

And of course, audio is 50% of any good creepy game, right? 3D sounds will have you questioning what’s real. From the creak of a floorboard behind you, to the scrabbling in the walls next to your head. So, listen up – it might just save your skin.

How many hours of gameplay will MADiSON VR have?

You’ll be able to complete the main story in about six hours. But if you want to find each secret and unearth every mystery, you’re looking at closer to seven and a half hours.

You’re going to have to take your time though. Sprinting down corridors screaming your head off will attract all kinds of supernatural nasties. So, keep the noise to a minimum and tread lightly. Because in this place, you’re never alone…

Who are the main characters in MADiSON VR?

There are only a few main players in our house of horrors:

  • Luca – You’ll be put in the shoes of teenager Luca, a 16-year-old who gets an old instant camera for his birthday. There’s one big twist though - it used to belong to a serial killer from thirty years back. We reckon his grandparents should have done a bit more research before buying that…

  • MADiSON – An evil demonic entity that’s tied to the camera. We don’t want to give the game away though, so we’ll let you find out her terrifying backstory yourself.

Will MADiSON VR have a multiplayer mode?

This is a single player experience through and through. And while it would be handy to have a mate to watch your back, you’re going to have to tackle this one completely alone. Gulp.
