Every January, big brands and tech fans from around the world head to Las Vegas for CES (Consumer Electronics Show), an event that showcases the latest tech trends looking to shape our future.

We’ve spent some time checking out all sorts of weird and wonderful products at CES 2025, and we’ve noticed a few trends:

  • Ai (artificial intelligence) is becoming more amazing.

  • Robots are more emotional.

  • Beauty tech is making wellness a priority.

  • Smart home tech is acting super smart.

So, let’s check out these top trends and the groundbreaking gadgets revealed at the big event.

Ai everywhere: artificial intelligence continues to amaze

Ai wasn’t just a theme at CES 2025 - it was everywhere. And it’s smarter, faster, and more human-like than ever before. More and more computers now have processors able to handle inbuilt Ai, so everything is more instant than before.

HP Ai laptops: your personal powerhouse

Imagine a laptop that knows you better than your bestie. That’s exactly what HP’s new Spectre x360 line brings to the table. With a built-in Ai assistant named ‘Superpower’, these laptops don’t just work for you—they work with you.

Superpower has been designed to learn your writing style. According to HP, it’ll then be able to craft content that feels like it’s straight out of your own head. What’s more, these powerful laptops are super-fast, stay cool under pressure, and hush up annoying fans when they’re not needed.

Google’s Gemini Ai takes over the TV

Google is bringing Gemini Ai to TVs running its software. Forget the formal introduction of “Hey Google” - this is a voice assistant that understands you straight away. Want to find a movie that’s like Gladiator but a bit more kid-friendly? Just say the word, and Gemini gives you the answer. Need help fixing your car, planning a beach holiday or explaining the solar system to your kids? It’s got that covered too.

Gemini does a lot more than just firing answers at you. It’ll suggest suitable YouTube videos to give you more in-depth guidance, and even lets you create custom Ai-generated screensavers. With Gemini on your TV, your living room could become a futuristic control centre.

Halliday Ai smart glasses: a dream screen

If James Bond had a pair of smart glasses, they’d be Hallidays. These understated-yet-stylish specs come with a Digi Window microdisplay, giving you a secret screen for everything from real-time translations to meeting notes.

If you’re travelling abroad, these glasses will translate languages on the fly. In a meeting? They can summarise conversations without you lifting a finger. Lost? Turn-by-turn navigation is baked right in. And they look good too, with no clunky or chunky parts to cramp your style.

The rise of the robots continues

We all know robots are incredibly useful. And now they’re becoming cuter. CES 2025 served up a lineup of bots that are helpful and heartwarming in equal measures.

Tombot robotic puppies

Meet Tombot, your new robo-pup pal. This is the perfect companion for someone who craves the love of a furry friend but is unable to actually own a real one. These lifelike pups respond to voice commands, cuddle up like a proper pooch, and even wag their tails when you’re nearby. Perfect for providing emotional support without the need for poo bags!

Roborock Saros Z70: the cleaner that gets a grip

Cleaning just got cooler with Roborock’s Saros Z70. This little robot doesn’t just vacuum -it tidies up first. Its OmniGrip arm picks up stray items (stray socks, come here) before getting down to the serious business of scrubbing your floors.

Mirumi: cuteness overload

Mirumi is a robotic baby creature that attaches to your arm, bag or anything else, and gazes at you like a cartoon character come to life. Mirumi is pure fuzzy cuteness swivelling its head and focusing on objects or people that it detects nearby. You can also tap the back of it to make it move manually. Mirumi isn’t the smartest or most advanced robot on show at CES 2025. But come on, just look at how adorable it is!

Jizai Mi-Mo: a furniture friend

Picture a lamp-table hybrid that strolls up to you with the casual grace of a house pet. Yes, like a real-life Pixar lamp. That’s Jizai’s Mi-Mo, the first customisable Ai robot that looks like it’s part of the furniture. It’s charming, functional, and glides around like it owns the place. If you want a lamp with attitude, this is the one for you.

Health and beauty tech gets smarter

Health and beauty tech is levelling up. From mirrors that double as Ai-driven health advisers to advanced skincare monitoring, CES 2025 brought some futuristic flair to our self-care and wellness routines.

Samsung Beauty Mirror: Your Ai dermatologist

Say hello to your morning skincare consultant. Samsung’s Beauty Mirror scans your face in seconds, flagging wrinkles, redness, and pores like a beauty pro. It even recommends products to tackle your specific skin concerns.

L’Oréal’s Cell Bioprint: personalised skincare, perfected

L’Oréal’s Bioprint device analyses your skin’s DNA (literally) to predict future issues and suggest the best ingredients for your unique complexion. This is science meets skincare, and the results are tailored just for you.

Withings Omnia Mirror: health from head to toe

Withings’ Omnia Mirror doesn’t just reflect your image. It reflects your health. Step on its base for a full-body scan that tracks weight, heart health, and more. Then sync it with your smartwatch for a complete health profile that’s as personalised as it gets.

Baracoda’s BMind: the mirror that knows your mood

Ever wish your mirror could give you an emotional boost? Baracoda’s BMind has been designed to do just that. It uses Ai to read your facial expressions and then offers suggestions like light therapy or guided meditation to make you feel more positive.

Smart homes get smarter

Your home is about to feel like it’s smart enough to look after itself. From Ai-powered locks to multitasking microwaves, CES 2025 is making modern living feel like the future.

Phillips Palm Recognition Lock: hands-free security

Keys are so last year. Phillips’ Palm ID lock scans your hand to let you in - no touching required. It’s fast, secure, and futuristic, with room to store up to 50 unique and trusted users.

LG Instaview Microwave: dinner and a show!

Heating up leftovers just got a high-tech makeover with LG’s Instaview microwave. With built-in cameras and a massive display, you can stream recipes or just watch your food and turn your cooking into a culinary reality show. Sure, it might seem a little over the top for a mere microwave, but it’ll be better than a lot of things on TV these days.

LeafyPod Planter: Ai for your plants

Forget to water your plants? LeafyPod’s got you covered. This smart planter monitors water levels, sunlight, and more, adjusting the care your plants receive as needed. It holds enough water for four weeks, so you can take that holiday or extended work trip without any wilting worries.

The future is here!

CES 2025 gave us an amazing glimpse into what’s next in tech. It looks like Ai will continue to transform every corner of our lives, with smart home tech taking things to new levels. We can’t wait to see the innovations unveiled at this year’s event making their way to the UK!
