Types of fans, heating and air treatment
Fans offer a simple way to cool the air around you, circulating air to maintain a comfortable temperature with an instant breeze. They vary from straight-forward desk fans, through to more advanced models with bladeless technology. Premium models often offer oscillating functions, variable speed setting, timers and remote controls.

Air conditioners work by extracting warm air from a room and re-distributing it as cool air, expelling excess heat from the appliance with a hose which should be vented through a wall or window. An internal compressor draws in hot air and uses a cooling unit to rapidly reduce the air temperature. The now cooler air is then blown out, bringing down the overall temperature in the room.
Our range of portable air conditioners can be placed in any room but require the extraction hose to lead outside through a wall or window.
Pollutants in the air inside your home, including pollen, pet dander and dust particles, can be harmful to your health, especially when you consider that we spend on average 90% of our time indoors. Our homes are often far more polluted than the air outdoors.
Air purifiers work to improve the quality of this air by removing and trapping airborne bacteria and impurities, providing a healthier and safer environment for you and your family. Air purifiers are ideal for allergy sufferers who could be affected by the level of pollutants in the air, which can exaggerate asthmatic symptoms and allergies, such as hay-fever.
Is my home polluted?
Everyday items, including scented candles, household cleaners, air fresheners, antiperspirants, pollen, mould spores and pet dander can cause the air in your home to become more polluted.
Because we keep our homes sealed in order to lock in the heat there is no way for these pollutants to escape, which can often aggravate symptoms experienced by allergy sufferers. Air purifiers draw in the air around them and trap these, removing them from the environment.
Excess moisture in the air can lead to damp and mould, which can have serious implications on your health if left untreated. Dehumidifiers work by extracting liquid from the air, preventing mould from forming on your walls. They are also ideal for drying damp clothes - place it next to your washing and enjoy dry clothes, quicker. Some models have additional setting to further speed up the drying process.
Unlike dehumidifiers, Humidifiers are designed to introduce moisture into the air in your home and ensure that the air in your home is never too dry. Keeping the air hydrated is vital because air that is too dry can compromise your natural defences against colds and allergies. Your skin can also benefit from moisture in the air - keeping your skin hydrated combats dryness and itchiness.
Our range of heaters offer the perfect solutions to keep your home warm and comfortable when the temperature outside drops. Portable heaters come in all shapes and sizes, whether you’re looking for a quick fix fan heater to provide an immediate blast of hot air or a radiator to heat larger rooms with more natural heat.
