If you missed the event (and don’t fancy watching back the whole 46-minute video), we’ve rounded up all the announcements so you can get up to speed fast.

Borderlands 4

Release date: 23 September 2025

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC

Gearbox Software shed plenty of light on the long-anticipated Borderlands 4 in their latest trailer. It showcased some of the crazy action and dangerous enemies that’ll await you on the new planet Kairos. Not to mention some seriously valuable loot. You’ll be playing a Vault Hunter, after all…

They also confirmed there’ll be powerful new action skills, movement abilities, and some truly outrageous weapons to get the hang of. It’ll be blasting its way onto PS5 on 23 September 2025, so you better get some target practice in. And stay tuned, as a full gameplay reveal is slated for a State of Play event later this spring.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Release date: 28 August 2025

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC

Mark your calendars for 28 August 2025. That’s because Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will be sneaking its way onto PS5 that day. And to celebrate the release date announcement, Konami dropped a fresh trailer for its highly anticipated remake of MGS3 at State of Play. Which included a first in-game look at the infamous Cobra Unit you’ll have to defeat.

The trailer also revealed that the much-loved Snake vs. Monkey special mode is making a comeback! So, you’ll get to capture those mischievous Pipo Monkeys all over again — this time with enhanced graphics. Konami confirmed support for PS5 Pro features too. That means ultra-smooth gameplay when guiding Snake through those immersive jungle environments.

Saros

Release date: 2026

Platforms: PS5

You won’t get to play Housemarque’s upcoming game, Saros, until 2026. But from its cinematic announcement trailer, it looks like this action adventure will be well worth the wait. Especially as it’ll be Hoursemarque’s first new title since Returnal, which won Best Action Game at The Game Awards 2021. So yeah, we know it’s going to be epic…

The teaser offered a view of the eerie, shadowy landscapes of Carcosa — a planet that’s under an ominous eclipse. It also introduced us to Arjun Devraj, a formidable Soltari Enforcer hellbent on finding someone he’s lost in a mysterious off-world colony. We can’t wait to see more in the extended gameplay reveal that’s been promised for later this year.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Release date: 2026

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC

Capcom revealed a new trailer for their upcoming slasher Onimusha: Way of the Sword. It let us see the game’s daring protagonist in action, whose look is based on the iconic Japanese samurai movie star Toshiro Mifune.

After travelling to Kyoto to prove he’s the most skilled warrior in the land, Miyamoto Musashi is ambushed by a group of fiendish Genma who’ve overrun the city. It’ll be all up to you to stop them from attacking the living — constantly moving from one bloody fight to the next to stop their spread.

You'll have to wait for this one until 2026. But you’ll have something to fill that time, with Capcom also unsheathing a remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny in the livestream. This will be coming to PS5 and PS4 on 23 May 2025.

The leader gets to choose where to go on lap two, so make sure you’re at the front to pick your favourite location!

It features an RPG-like Gadget system too, where you can select various perks to gain an edge on the racetrack. And it also offers the most extensive car customisation ever seen in the series. Race in any type of vehicle to find the best character and car combo. Then tinker with all kinds of colours and decals to personalise your ride.

Digimon Story Time Stranger

Release date: 2025

Platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC

JRPG Digimon Story Time Stranger is arriving on PS5 later this year. And you’ll be doing plenty of world-hopping in this game too, moving between the mysteriously connected human and digital realms to collect and train Digimon. Society’s on the brink of collapse, and only the strength of your bond with your digital monsters will give you any chance of saving it.

You can also expect an upgraded battle system along with fan-favourite characters like Agumon and Omegamon. If you love all things Digimon, this is the game for you!

Dreams of Another

Release date: 2025
