We love these ovens

Gas ovens are great for keen cooks – as it’s easy to adjust temperatures for more controlled cooking. A must for bakers! Gas ovens also produce a moist environment – which isn’t always great for big meals like roast dinners.

60cm wide and 90cm in height

The built-in double oven is the most versatile of the three, consisting of two ovens with grill. Because of their taller size, oven capacity can be larger than built-under double ovens. They can be positioned at eye level, making it easy to get food in and out.

Built-under double oven

Always check the capacity of the oven – measured in litres. Just because two ovens look the same, it doesn’t mean you’ll get the same capacity.

How to measure for a new built-in oven

Measure up the available space for your oven, taking note of height and width. Please note, if you’re planning on having a gas hob to go with your oven, you’ll need 75cm of space above your hob for safety purposes. If you’re going electric, that’s 65cm. You’ll also want to make sure your kitchen cabinets aren’t directly above your hobs. If you’re looking to upgrade your existing cooker, just measure what you already have.

Information Always make sure you install your oven on a solid, flat surface. Carpet or soft flooring is unsafe.

It’s important you make sure you have the correct supply outlet for your choice of cooker. Here’s a summary of what you’ll need:

Information Make it safe - when installing a new built-in oven, please make sure:

  • There's no combustible material behind the oven location – especially flammable material such as wallpaper, wood, fabric wall coverings, curtains or shelving.

If keeping your oven spotless is important to you, look to see if you can remove the internal glass from your oven door. This often gets really dirty, so is much easier to clean if it can be safely detached.

Steam cooking

Some ovens have a steam cooking feature that keeps food moist and full of flavour, while helping it to crisp up on the outside. Bakers love steam, because they can achieve soft fluffy bakes with crispy golden finishes. It’s also a great cooking method for lots of other dishes, as it locks in flavour and nutrients.

Food sensors

Looking for perfect cooking results every time? Food sensors let you measure the core temperature from the centre of your dish while it’s cooking, so you’ll know exactly when it’s cooked the way you want it. The food sensor notifies you when food is cooked, and can even automatically switch off your oven to stop the cooking process.
