When the school holidays roll around, it’s handy to have ways to keep the kids busy (and out from under your feet). Whether you’re off on day trips, prepping for a big holiday or just relaxing in the garden, we’ll help to keep the whole family occupied.

On the road

Planning a long drive to see the grandparents? Or maybe you’ve got a trip to the beach lined up? Keep everyone entertained (and quiet, while you figure out the sat nav) with a road trip essential - a tablet.

Kids tablets let them easily switch between watching their favourite film for the 56th time and reading a book. They can also play games and look at educational apps, or just listen to some music. Gone are the days of answering “are we there yet?”

Have fun in the garden

There are a million ways to spend the day with little ones in your garden, from making ‘potions’ with mud and leaves, to a cracking Easter egg hunt. But if you’re running out of ideas, or want something new, perhaps tech can save the day?

Raising a budding scientist or engineer? STEM toys are a great way to encourage your child to work on a fun project. Educational toys are perfect for keeping busy, and when they’re done learning and building, they’ll have a car or robot to drive around the garden. Cool!

And once the kids are off to bed after a busy day, why not unwind in a seriously relaxing hot tub? After all, you deserve to enjoy your time off too.

Off on holiday

Jetting off on holiday? Headphones are essential for a long flight. That way, the kids can easily watch their favourite shows and listen to music. And as kids headphones have limits on the volume, you don’t have to worry about them damaging their ears (or annoying other passengers).

Every child has a unique way of viewing the world, so why not let them capture it? Action cams for kids are a great way of letting them get creative while snapping some unique memories. And because action cams are built to handle water and serious knocks, you don’t have to worry about them dropping it accidentally. Phew.

A trip around town

If your children love being active, how about a scooter, dirt bike or hoverboard? They can trundle around in style with you while you hit the high street. And they won’t get bored while you do it either!

And it wouldn’t be a school holiday in the UK without a bit of rain. If the weather takes a turn, we’ve got you covered with ways to entertain indoors when it’s too chilly to be out.
